BASES OF THE CALL
The Amics i Amigues de l’Ebre Association and the CECOS (Center for Studies of Social Conflicts) at the URV convene the Photography Competition on Instagram #somriuEBRE #congresEBRE to promote the participation of citizens in social networks and to give visibility to the protagonists, the activities and the spaces that make up the surroundings of the water and the Ebro. The contest is part of the program of activities for communication and dissemination of the Anniversary of the Battle of the Ebro.
2. Form of participation
To participate in the contest, you must have a public profile on Instagram and publish a photograph, in this social network, that complies with the one indicated in the section “Characteristics of the work”. The image that is published must be accompanied by the #somriuSEBRE #congresEBRE labels, without prejudice to other tags that the author of the photograph wishes to include.
At the end of the contest, the participants must be followers of the account of the Amics i Amigues de l’Ebre Association and / or the CECOS in Instagram.
The fact of putting the labels #somriuEBRE #congresEBRE labels implies automatic participation in the contest and consequently implies that the author accepts the bases by which it is governed and recognizes that the labeled image meets the requirements and conditions required for the work presented.
Each participant may submit a maximum of five photographs in the contest. In case the user publishes more than five images with the #somriuEBRE #congresEBRE labels, the jury will only consider the first five ones, according to the date on which they are published.
3. Characteristics of the works
The photographs presented to the competition must show people, environments, moments or spaces of the Ebro, to reflect the water in their surroundings. The images must be related to the water and the river as a source of life and memory.
Authors must be able to guarantee that the images are original and unpublished, which are the legitimate authors and, therefore, have all the rights, as well as that the image does not violate the rights of third parties. The Amics i Amigues de l’Ebre Association and the CECOS are not responsible for the damages that may be caused by the breach of these requirements and reserve the possibility of exercising the legal actions that it deems appropriate if there is a conflict for this reason.
4. Participation conditions
Any adult person who has not been implicated in the definition and / or preparation of this contest can participate in the contest.
The sending of an image to the competition can not infringe neither the rights of intellectual property nor the rights to the privacy and to the honor nor any other right of third persons. Participants are responsible for third parties having obtained the image rights required by the law of the individuals or entities that appear photographed, with total indemnity from the Amics i Amigues de l’Ebre Association and the CECOS.
The Amics i Amigues de l’Ebre Association and the CECOS are not responsible for the damages that may be caused by the breach of these requirements and reserve the possibility of exercising the legal actions that they deem appropriate if there is a conflict for these reasons.
The contest begins on August 1, 2018 at 8:00 p.m., and photographs may be published to participate until September 30, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. Photos uploaded during this period will be accepted and photographs published beyond the end of the competition will not be accepted.
However, you can participate in the competition with photographs taken prior to the publication of these bases, provided they are submitted within the established deadlines and comply with all the conditions of participation.
6. Jury and selection of the winning work
The winning work is decided by a jury of members of the Amics i Amigues de l’Ebre Association and CECOS. The jury will meet in the days after the end of the term and choose the winning photograph, which will be made public before October 5, 2018. The jury will assess the image that best suits the work characteristics.
The organization will contact the winner through his Instagram profile, privately or by leaving a comment on the winning photograph. In this communication, the winning person will receive instructions to get in touch with the organization and provide the full name and surname, the telephone number and the postal address. The organization will require all the information it deems necessary to deliver the prize. To prove the authorship of the image, the original file will be requested.
The Amics i Amigues de l’Ebre Association and the CECOS will make a broad dissemination of the winning proposals and the name of the winners will be published on the web (batallladelebre.cat) and the profiles of the Amics i Amigues de l’Ebre Association and the CECOS in social networks.
The winning person accepts that their name is published on the webpages and the social profiles of the Amics i Amigues de l’Ebre Association and CECOS.
There will be two winners who will receive a prize for a guided tour through the spaces of the Battle of the Ebro organized by “Terra Enllà” with a duration of 1 day with lunch included. Apart from this prize, they will not receive any further consideration because the Friends of the Ebro Association and the CECOS reproduce their images. The jury reserves the right to declare the desert prize.
The jury may propose a prioritized reservation list. If the winner fails to award the prize, he does not contact the organization to provide his or her data or if he does not deliver the original archive of the winning photograph, the prize must be awarded to the corresponding photograph according to the ” order of the reserve list.
The aspects that are not regulated in the bases must be resolved by the jury of the prize.
8. Control and safety regulations
The Amics i Amigues de l’Ebre Association and the CECOS have the power to take the necessary measures to avoid fraudulent conduct during the contest or the non-compliance of rules to the detriment of another competitor.
It is prohibited to create or have more than one profile in Instagram, the creation of false profiles or impersonation. Participants may also be excluded from content that is not considered appropriate.
9. Intellectual and industrial property
Participants in the contest will assign all the rights to reproduction of uploaded photographs, for no lucrative purposes and without selling them to third parties, on the occasion of their participation in this contest. The Amics i Amigues de l’Ebre Association and the CECOS will be able to freely use these images on their web page, as well as in other publications, both online and offline, without the aforementioned lucrative value.
10. Data protection
In accordance with Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, on the protection of personal data, the data of the contestants will be incorporated into a file for purposes related to the call. The contestants may exercise the rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition to the email address email@example.com
11. Acceptance of the bases
Participation in this contest implies full acceptance of these bases. Any doubt about the interpretation of these bases or incidence that may occur throughout the period of validity of this call must be resolved by the jury of the competition, and their decisions will be unappealable.
The company responsible for the social network Instagram has no relation either with the contest or with the Amics i Amigues de l’Ebre Association o and CECOS. The Amics i Amigues de l’Ebre Association and CECOS only use this platform as a tool for managing the competition and conducting the submitted proposals.
The organization is not responsible for any problem or technical error that may arise from the online computer system, server or provider, computer equipment or software error of any email.
Participation in the competition implies the acceptance of all the conditions of Instagram.
